Nevin J Warmkessel

Nevin J. Warmkessel, 83, formerly of Mertztown, PA residing at Price Drive, Topton, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, where he had been a patient since August 8 ^th . He was the husband of the late Helen I. (Haas) Warmkessel who died on September 28, 1988.

Born in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, PA, he was the son of the late Levi J. and the late Carrie A. (Scheirer) Warmkessel. He worked at Air Products and Chemical Company, Trexlertown, from 1955 to 1972; and at the former Olin Chemical Corporation, now Carpenter Insulation Company, Fogelsville, from 1972 until retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny. He was a former member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis, where he was a member and former vice president of the church council; and, a member of the choir in the 1970’s.

He is survived by Sons, Dale J. Warmkessel, Mertztown, Dean C. Warmkessel, Fleetwood; Brother, Warren H. Warmkessel, New Tripoli; Sisters, Mae C. (Warmkessel) Lichtenwalner, Macungie, A. Christine (Warmkessel) Dietrich, Breingsville; Granddaughter, Alyssa L. Warmkessel; Companion, Mabel Guldin, The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was predeceased by a Son, Larry A. Warmkessel, 12/15/1961.

Funeral Services are Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 10:00 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
