Neil R Miller

Neil R. Miller, 66, of Gun Club Road, Alburtis, died Sunday, February 4, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, near Allentown, where he was a patient since January 30, 2007. He was the husband of Sonya E. (Oswald) Miller. They were married December 28, 1963.

Born in Weilersville, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Richard A. and late Pauline E. (Kauffman) Miller. He was employed as a molder for the former General Electric, Allentown, for 20 years. He then worked as Night Foreman for East Penn School District, at Eyer Middle School, Macungie, for 18 years, retiring in 2003. He was a US Army veteran. He was a 32 nd degree Mason with Lehigh Lodge #326, F. & A.M., Trexlertown. He was a member of Valley of Allentown Consistory and Rajah Shrine. He was a life member of ATA Trap Shooting Association; Alburtis Rod & Gun Club, Alburtis, where he served as Trap Captain from 1981 to 1991; and also a member of the Alburtis Nimrods. He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis.

He is survived by Daughter, Lisa J. (Miller) wife of Shane L. Follweiler, Allentown; Son, Randy L. husband of Vicki M. (Gerlach) Miller, Yorkhaven, York County, PA; Sister, Sara L. (Miller) wife of Rev. Gene Smith, Catasauqua; Brothers, John E. Miller, Cumbola, Schuylkill County, PA, Warren F. Miller, Reading, PA, Richard D. Miller, Macungie; 3 Grandchildren, Dustin M., Brittany L, and Matthew J. Miller.

Funeral Services are Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment with military honors in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children c/o Rajah Shrine, P.O. Box 40, Blandon, PA 19510. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
