Neil “Ed” Hollenbach, 70, of Bechtelsville, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the widower of Katherine F. (Mautz) Hollenbach, who died January 17, 2003.

Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late William Hollenbach and Ruth (Blew) McHugh. Edward was a graduate of Tamaqua High School and a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Catholic. Mr. Hollenbach was employed over 30 years as a letter carrier by the US Postal Service having worked out of the Chestnut Hill Post Office until his retirement in 1991. After his retirement he worked over ten years as a manager for Auntie Annes Soft Pretzels at Zerns Market, Gilbertsville, last working September 8, 2012.

He is survived by Sons, William C. Hollenbach, Philadelphia, Edward W. husband of Dodie M. (Wetzel) Hollenbach, Kutztown and Michael S. husband of Diana (Glantz) Hollenbach, Bensalem. Other survivors include a Sister, Betty (Hollenbach) wife of Thomas Sulpizio, Philadelphia and Brothers, William Hollenbach, Inman, SC, Robert Hollenbach, Tamaqua, and Harry Hollenbach, Jacksonsville, FL. There are also 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Friday, September 28, 2012 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Inurnment is private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to Autism Society of Berks County, P.O. Box 6683, Wyomissing, PA 19610-6683. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
