Nancy L. (Bales) Meitzler, 78, of District Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. She was the loving wife of Paul I. Meitzler, whom she married on August 8, 1964.

Born in District Township, Nancy was a daughter of the late Gus and Anna L. (Leh) Bales. She was a 1964 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, PA, and a lifelong member of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis. Nancy was a Chef for many years having worked at the former Blair Creek Inn, Mertztown, Tower Court at the Lutheran Home at Topton, and most recently, having owned and operated Meitzler's Catering until her retirement. Nancy's culinary journey was a labor of love; she had a remarkable ability to turn simple ingredients into heartwarming meals that created lasting memories for all who had the privilege of delighting her meals.

Nancy was an avid reader, often finding herself running out of books to read. She also enjoyed basket weaving, fishing and cake decorating. She also volunteered with the Longswamp Lions Club. Above all, Nancy's love was for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. Nancy loved Christmas and made sure she had a gift for each family member. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her kitchen, touching the lives of everyone she met. She possessed a vibrant spirit that will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to share their lives with her.

Along with her husband of nearly 61 years, Paul, Nancy is survived by her daughter, Shelly L. (Meitzler), wife of Scott E. Taylor, Valley Springs, AR, twin-sons, Kerry L., husband of Lucia M. (Loebig) Meitzler, Mertztown, and Terry L., husband of Antionette G. (Ludy) Meitzler, Macungie; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Carl Bales, Alburtis, Carol (Bales) Bauer, Alburtis, Diane (Bales) Hartman, Fleetwood, Doreen (Bales) Bartlet, Alburtis, and Cindy (Bales) Derr, Kutztown; many nieces and nephews and her extended Meitzler family. Along with her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Richard Bales.
