Mr. Myron Lutzkovetz

February 29, 1924 — December 27, 2021

Myron Lutzkovetz, 97, of Lyons, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021 in his residence. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Madeira) Teter, whom he married on November 12, 2015. His first wife, June E. Lutzkovetz died in 1986.

Born in Shamokin, PA, Myron was a son of the late Theodore and Efrosina (Hudock) Lutzkovetz. After graduating high school, Myron entered the United States Navy where he served for six years, during World War II. After his discharge from the military, He worked as a Cab Driver. Myron then began his career as a Pipe Fitter working for the Pipefitters Union for many years. He also was knowledgeable with air conditioning and refrigeration systems and installed and repaired them as a side business. Myron also performed PA One Calls and was involved with the sewer system for The Borough of Lyons.

Myron was a life member of West End Fire Company, Shamokin, Lyons Fire Company, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Colorado, where he made many visits to his brother, and Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society, Reading, and enjoyed tinkering around his home.

In addition to his wife Patricia, Myron is survived by his children, Rick Bates, and his wife, Kelly, of Denver, PA, Deb (Bates) Sanford, Hamburg, and James Bates, and his wife, Marcy, West Lawn; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Along with his first wife and parents, Myron was predeceased by a son, Kim M. Lutzkovetz in 2003; and two grandchildren.

Services for Myron will be held privately by his family.
