Minnie Katie Weller

Minnie Katie (Derr) Weller, 79, of Alburtis, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Saint Luke's Hospital, Quakertown Campus. She was the wife of Lloyd E. Weller, Sr., whom she married January 23, 1954.

Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Katie Derr. Mrs. Weller was a member of the Reformed Congregation of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis. She was a graduate of Longswamp School. Minnie worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis. She was presently a homemaker.  Minnie enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by Husband of 61 years, Lloyd; children, Katherine D. (Weller), wife of David Miller, Mertztown, Barbara A. (Weller), wife of Richard Fox, Alburtis, Lloyd E., Jr., husband of Melissa (Schmoyer) Weller, Mertztown, Wendy M. (Weller), wife of Kevin B. Schollenberger, Boyertown; Sisters, Margaret Weller, Fleetwood, Mary Kerchner, Barto, Marie DeVough, Boyertown, Martha Geist, Mertztown; 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Sisters, Mae Schaeffer and Mildred Mercer and a Brother, Melvin Derr.

A viewing will be held Thursday evening, May 28, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM in Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis with Reverend Jane M. Kropa officiating. Inurnment will follow in Huff's Church Union Cemetery.
