Mildred R Reinert

Mildred R. (Shade) Reinert, 86, of Rockland Township, died Friday, August 21, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family and caregivers, daughter, Wilma and granddaughter, Amanda. She was the widow of Wayne C. Reinert who died November 30, 2005.

Born in Rockland Township, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen M. (Rothermel) Shade. Mrs. Reinert was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township. Mildred was employed as a cuff setter by the former Fleetwood Shirt Company, Fleetwood, for over 40 years until her retirement in 1998. Millie was a member of Pioneer Grange #1777, Topton, and received Granger of the Year award in May 2002.  She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Lyons Fire Company, loved to sew and took great pride in her many feline companions.

She is survived by Daughter, Wilma M. (Reinert) wife of Ronald C. Herman, Topton.  Other survivors include 2 Granddaughters, Amanda L. Herman and Cristy M. Herman; 3 Great Grandchildren, Logan, Morgan and Leah. Mildred was predeceased by a Son, Stuart W. Reinert, who died February 1, 1999. In addition, she was predeceased by a Sister, Dorothy (Shade) Greiss and 2 Brothers, Elton Shade and Raymond S. Turner.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM from New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, with the Reverend Ruth F. Doty, officiating.  Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made in loving memory of Mildred to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
