Mildred M. (Kutz) Levan, 87, of Fleetwood, died Monday, November 25, 2013 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a resident for four years. She was the companion of the late Harold W. Miller who died December 10, 2006. Her husband, Wayne G. Levan died June 7, 1979.
Born in Richmond Township, she was a daughter of the late Edwin J. and Sue S. (Heffner) Kutz. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. Mrs. Levan was employed as a laborer by the former H.K. Deisher Knitting Mill, Kutztown from 1967 to 1984. She was a member of the Kutztown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and enjoyed gardening, baking, going to the casinos, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by Daughter, Janet K. (Levan) Haring, fiancé' of Jerry L. Keller, Rockland Township; Son, Lynn W. Levan, fiancé of Deborah D. Borkey, Blandon; 3 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Sisters, Edna Einsel, Laura M. Wiltrout, Grace I. Seidel, Margaret E. George, Helen A. Yoh; and Brothers, Edwin Kutz and Jacob A. Kutz.
Funeral Services are Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
