Mildred M Fisher

Mildred M. “Millie” Fisher, 87, of Rockland Township died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Topton on June 22, 1922 and was baptized on July 30, 1922, she was the wife of Robert C. “Rob” Fisher for 63 years. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Rand and Elsie (Frain) Kemp. Millie was a registered nurse graduating from the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. From 1956 until 1977 she and her husband were house parents at the Lutheran Home in Topton - caring for boys. From 1977 to 1980 she worked for Concern, another child care agency. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.

She is survived by Husband, Sons, Robert C., II husband of Marilyn S. (Speidel) Fisher, East Greenville, PA and Stephen P. husband of Charlene R. (Liskey) Fisher, Kutztown, PA. There are also 5 Grandsons and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue and Smith Street, Topton. Private inurnment in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.
