Mildred M Bennecoff

Mildred M. (Snyder) Bennecoff, 85, formerly of Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Kutztown Manor, Kutztown, where she resided since November, 2007. She was the widow of Charles G. Bennecoff who died February 21, 1997.

Born in the village of Lynnville, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin P. and Daisy V. (Geiger) Snyder. She was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Zion United Church of Christ, Lenhartsville, where she was a quilter for many years. She was a member of Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Kutztown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Blue Ridge Council, New Tripoli and Weisenberg - Lowhill Township Historical Society. She was a distributor and demonstrator for the former Dutch Maid Clothing for 10 years. She was a waitress at Sky View Restaurant, Krumsville for 24 years until her retirement in 1983. Mildred and her husband were life-long farmers. Later, they raised hogs for show and breeding purposes, a tradition carried on by her son, grandson and great grandchildren. Showing off the many awards and ribbons won by her grandchildren brought her great joy.

She is survived by Son, Terry L. husband of Carol A. (Lazarus) Bennecoff, Kutztown, Foster Sons, Robert Angstadt, Lenhartsville, Jesse Dixon, Jr., Hamburg, Raymond Dixon, Plattsburgh, NY; Sister, Annetta W. (Snyder) widow of Alan L. Merkel, Temple; Brother, Forrest A. husband of Lorraine (Smith) Snyder, Kutztown; Sister-in-law, Alice C. (Warmkessel) wife of Herman Dietrich, a resident at Kutztown Manor. There is also a Grandson, Todd L. Bennecoff and Great Grandchildren, Todd, Jr., Justine, Amy and Tami Bennecoff and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are Saturday, May 10, 2008, 10:00 AM from New Jerusalem Zion United Church of Christ, 1456 Krumsville Road, Lenhartsville. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Friday, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.
