Melvin W Sanders

Melvin W. Sanders, age 83, of 124 E. Weis St., Topton, died Thursday, August 14, 2003, in Kutztown Manor. He was married to Verdie M. (Behm) Sanders for 57 years in June.

Born in Rockland Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Beulah (Drey) Sanders. He was a tow motor operator for the former Stanley G. Flagg Co., Stowe, Montgomery County, for 26 years until retiring in 1982. Previously, he was a laborer for Caloric Corp., former Topton Plant, for five years. He was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. He was an Army veteran of World War.

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Charles M. of Mohrsville, Berks County, Barry W. of Macungie; Daughter, Elaine M. Seip of Mertztown; Brother, Gene W. of Oley, Berks County; Sister, Arlene Sheetz of Fleetwood; 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, 2 Stepgrandchildren, 4 Stepgreat Grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2003, Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis St., Topton. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday.
