Melvin R Mitchell

Melvin R. Mitchell, 85, of Kutztown, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Mifflin Center Nursing Home, Shillington. He was the husband of Grace (Mull) Mitchell who died in 2005. His first wife, Eleanor I. (Moser) Mitchell died June 6, 1966.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William A., and Mary E. (Fizz) Mitchell. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as a greeter by Walmart in Temple. Prior to that, he was employed as a meat cutter by the former Saylors Meats, Reading.

He is survived by Son, Dennis L., husband of Sallie M. (Kutz) Mitchell, Kutztown; Step-Son, Kerry E., wife of Bonnie (Miller) Mull, Kempton; Sister, Shirley M. (Mitchell) Schweitzer, Shillington, 2 Grandsons, and 2 Great Granddaughters. He was predeceased by a Son, John Mitchell in 1948, and 2 Step Sons Ronald E. Moll and Thomas E. Moll.

Services and inurnment are private at the convenience of the family.
