Maureen L Schiffert

Maureen L. (Winter) Schiffert, 81, of Allentown, formerly of Kutztown, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in her Upper Macungie Township residence. She was the widow of Robert A. Schiffert, who died January 1, 2014.

Born in New Cumberland, Cumberland County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Catherine (Hopkins) Winter. Maureen was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, reading and working on crossword puzzles.

She is survived by Daughters, Monica L. (Adam), wife of Dennis G. Follweiler, Kutztown, Desaree W. (Schiffert), wife of John E. Carley, Myerstown, Lebanon County; Sons, Troy E., husband of Eileen J. (Wetzel) Adam, Kutztown, Robert T. Schiffert and Brett D. Schiffert, both of Allentown. Other survivors include Sisters, Jackie (Winter), wife of Leroy Brown, Topton, Dorie (Winter), widow of Calvin Weidner, M.D., Peoria, AZ; Grandchildren, Kyle, Brad, Angel, Coleen, Ashley, Billy, Julie, Zachary and Braden; and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Cheryl F. Meinschein officiating. Inurnment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Relatives and friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
