Mary Etta Fegely, 82 of Topton, died Thursday, December 16, 2021, in The Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in the home she lived in her entire 82 years, she was a daughter of the late Clayton W. and Mabel P. (Dierolf) Fegely. Mary Etta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.
"Chud", as she was affectionately known by family, was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Class of 1957. Following her high school graduation, Mary Etta began a career in banking that continued nearly 40 years. Her final position was with Wells Fargo, as a Supervisor in the Credit Card Department.
Mary Etta was a member of the Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, she volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels, and also at The Lutheran Home at Topton. She is a former member of the Topton Women's Club. Chud enjoyed traveling to the shore with family and dining out.
Mary Etta is survived by 4 nephews: Errol M. "Gumb" Gambler (Christine), Lewes, DE; Donald L. "Spike" Miller (Audrey), Bowers; Emmett I. Miller (Judy), Lafayette Hills, Montgomery County; Scott L. Miller (Rhonda), Fleetwood; 2 nieces: Patricia J. (Miller) Miller, Topton; Cheryl K. Gambler-Schlegel, Millsboro, DE. In addition, there are four great nieces and two great nephews; and four great-great nieces and four great-great nephews; and finally two great-great-great nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Reverend Scott W. Lingenfelter, officiating. Inurnment will follow in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
