Mary V. Aldrich, 93, formerly of Flushing, NY, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she resided. She was the widow of Guy D. Aldrich who died October 5, 1983.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Clara N. (Weed) Horton. She was a 1934 graduate of Randolph - Macon Woman’s College, Ashland, Virginia, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She taught ten years in Manhattan and an additional ten years in Flushing. She was a member and secretary of Daughter’s of the American Revolution, at its former chapter in Flushing during the 1970’s and 1980’s. She was a member of Reformed Church on the Hill, Flushing.
She is survived by Son, Guy B. husband of Deborah A. (Kegg) Aldrich, Allentown; and a Grandson, Brian Aldrich, Ellicott City, MD.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, April 11, 2007, 10:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Huntington Rural Cemetery, Huntington, NY. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
