Mary Jane Munn

Mary Jane Munn, 84, formerly of Heilman House, Topton and Alburtis, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, in her son’s residence in Carlsbad, Calif., where she resided since April. She was the widow of Vincent Munn who died this past August.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Howard L. and Eva M. (Guinther) Hoppes. She was a member of Saint Peter’s U.C.C. Church, Topton. She was a baker for over 35 years at The Lutheran Home at Topton, until her retirement in 1990.

She is survived by Son, William O. Weiser, Jr. husband of Eva A. Gripp, with whom she resided; Sister, Fern (Hoppes) wife of John Moll, Mertztown; Brother, William H. widower of Lottie F. (Behm) Hoppes, Kutztown. There are also Half Sisters, Janet, LaRue, Marianna; and Half Brothers, Jack and Ronald. She was predeceased by a Half Brother, Howard L. Hoppes, Jr. Other survivors include 2 Grandchildren, Rene husband of Vivian Weiser and Lisa (Weiser) wife of Robert Caldarella and 2 Great Grandchildren, Sierra Weiser and Anthony Caldarella.

Funeral Services are Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

The family requests contribution be made to the Benevolent Care Fund of Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, 798 Hausman Rd, Suite 300, Allentown, PA 18104. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
