Mary E Wert

Mary E. Wert, 93, of Fleetwood, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bern Township, shortly after admission. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Wert who died February 11, 2004.

Born in Ruscombmanor Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Elizabeth R. (Jacobs) Berg. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Fleetwood, where she was past treasurer of the Sunday School and a member of the former True Blue Class. She was a pairer at the former Rosedale Knitting Mill, Laureldale, for over 15 years last working in 1940.

She is survived by Son, Gary Lynn, Sr., husband of Mary Ann (Dimovitz) Wert, Fleetwood; Grandchildren, Gary L., Jr. husband of Cindy (Young) Wert and Keith B. Wert, both of Fleetwood, Michelle (Wert) wife of Gary L. Diezel, Mertztown; Great Grandchildren, Gary L. Wert, III, Brandon L. P. Wert, both of Fleetwood; Step Great Grandson Nicholas L. Diezel, Virginia Beach, VA. She was predeceased by 3 Brothers.

Funeral Services are Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
