Mary Ann Scheidt

Mary Ann Scheidt, 65, of College Blvd., (Maxatawny Twp.) Kutztown, died Tuesday, June 30, 2004, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown, where she was a patient since April 2001.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, she was a daughter of the late Paul C., Sr., and the late Mabel E. (Norton) Smith. She worked as a laborer in the former Wenton and Saucony Shoe Companies, Kutztown, for over 10 years until her retirement in the early 1980’s. She was a 4H leader in the Kutztown area for several years during the late 1970’s; She was program director of the Acolytes and Bible Carriers at Saint John’s United Church of Christ for many years. She was a member of Saint John’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown.

She is survived by Sons, Shawn T. Scheidt, Kutztown, Dwayne E. Scheidt, Greenwich Twp.; Daughter, Rhonda L. (Scheidt) Himic, Fleetwood, PA; Brothers, John J. Smith, Cincinnati, OH, George N. Smith, New Rochelle, NY; Sisters, Kathy M. (Smith) Green, Maxatawny Twp., Lillian I. Smith, New Rochelle, NY; 2 Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Tuesday, 10:30 AM from Saint John’s United Church of Christ, 257 West Walnut Street, Kutztown. Inturnment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call, Tuesday, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions to St. John’s UCC Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
