Mary Alice Dries

Mary Alice Dries, age 70, of Linsol Road, Kutztown PA, died Sunday, March 31, 2002 in her home. She was the Widow of the late Herbert D. Dries who died in 200.

Born in Maxatawny Township PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert T. and Mary A. (Kohler) Christman. She was a Member of the Lutheran Congregation of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny PA. She was a Sewing Machine Operator at the former Wenton Shoe Company, Kutztown PA for 11 years. She was also a Waitress and Hostess at the former Denny's Restaurant, now 4 B's Diner, Moselem Springs PA, for 7 years until retiring in 1994.

She is survived by her son, Gregory S. Dries of Bernville PA; daughters, LuAnn R. (dries) Sowers of Hamburg PA; sisters, Anita L. (Christman) Bastain of Robesonia PA, Jannetta B. (Christman) Metz of Emmaus PA, Dorothy G. (Christman) Phillips of Myerstown PA, Gladys A. (Christman) Bleiler of Allentown PA and Carole M. (Christman) Koch of Easton PA; brothers, Lester H. Christman of Elizabethtown PA, Carl W. Christman of Lenhartsville PA and David K. Christman of New Tripoli PA; and 4 Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday. April 5, 2002 in Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown PA.
