Marlin W Wessner

Marlin W. “Fish” Wessner, 75, of Topton, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township where he was a patient one month.

Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late William M., Sr., and Viola M. (Klopp) Wessner. He was of the United Church of Christ faith. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a crane operator at McConway & Torley, Kutztown Foundry Division, Kutztown for 42 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of Kutztown Rod and Gun Club, Kutztown, Ray A. Master, Post 217, American Legion, Topton and the Blandon Fire Company, Blandon.

He is survived by Daughters, Shelly E. (Wessner) wife of Rhys Evans, Blandon, Vicki L. (Wessner) wife of Ricky L. Oswald, Auburn, Schuylkill County, Michelle L. (Wessner) wife of George A. Haines, Jr., Mertztown and Tammy C. Wessner, companion of Douglas Ludwig, Alburtis; and Son, Troy M. husband of Nancy E. (Eck) Wessner, Hamburg. Other survivors include Sisters, Lorraine (Wessner) Kauffman, Reading and Sharon A. (Wessner) Moll, Maxatawny; and a Brother, Larry F. Wessner, Fleetwood; Grandchildren, Dawn Buchman, Angela Steffy, Jason and Ryan Oswald, Eric Wessner, Zachary and Sydney Haines, Jamie, Brittany, and Samantha Ludwig, Joshua, DeeAnna and Tylor Wessner. There are also Great Grandchildren, Jordan Drew, Skylar Kline, Kolbie Oswald, Alexa Wessner and Kylie Patterson.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Inurnment in Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion Garden of Honor, Topton and will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Tuesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
