Marlene J. Findlay, 69, of Country Meadows, Upper Macungie Township, formerly of Macungie, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where she was a patient since November 28, 2008. She was the widow of Charles H. Findlay who died August 8, 2002.
Born in Strongsville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Theresa (Kaiser) Shepard. She was a former member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by Daughters, Eve L. (Leatherman) wife of Bryan E. Yocum, Quakertown, Cynthia A. (Thomas) Bittner, Boyertown; Sons, Joseph B. husband of Mary (Koscis) Leatherman, Norfolk, VA, Daniel L. husband of Amy (Koch) Thomas, New Tripoli, Steven C. husband of Dawn (Wilkes) Thomas, Woodbury, CT; Step Daughter, Susie (Findlay) husband of Joseph J. Frankel, Allentown. There are 4 Sisters, Lois (Shepard) Lezark and Elaine (Shepard) Matelski, both of Parma, OH, Patricia (Shepard) Krueger, Valley City, OH, and Kathleen (Shepard) Kurek, Matthews, NC. In addition, there are 6 Grandchildren, James Tews, Dianne Yocum, Brent Leatherman, Joshua Hensinger, Steven Thomas, Dylan Thomas; 3 Step Grandchildren, Ann Marie Kleintop, Scott A. Frankel, Adrienne J. Frankel; Great Grandson, Evan A. Hensinger. She was predeceased by a Grandson, Michael C. Hensinger.
Funeral Services are Monday, December 15, 2008, 11:00 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
The family requests contributions be made to Lehigh County Humane Society, 640 Dixon Street, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
