Mark R Derr

Mark R. “Fester” Derr, 47, of Lower Macungie Township, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township shortly after admission. He was the companion of Sally L. Kleppinger for 25 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Shirley F. (Blank) wife of Robert W. Mader, Alburtis and the late Harold H. Derr. He was a graduate of Emmaus High School. He worked as a self-employed small engine repairman.

He is survived by Companion, Mother and Step Father, Step Daughter, Sarah I. Kleppinger, Bethlehem. Other survivors include 4 Sisters, Bonnie L. (Derr) wife of Michael Pengh, Bethlehem, Gale M. (Derr) wife of Wayne Schaeffer, Orefield, Carol A. (Derr) wife of Steven Hill, Alburtis and Susan J. (Derr) wife of Warren L. Brown, Fleetwood.

Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton.

The family requests contributions be made to Alburtis Camp Fire / Dad-Daughters, 110 Fort Sumpter Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
