Marjorie E Philips

Marjorie E. Philips, 90, of Tower Court on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Twp., Berks County, PA and formerly of Harrisburg, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Salisbury Twp., near Allentown, shortly after admission. She was the wife of G. Hamill Philips. They were married May 3, 1941.

Born in Dorchester, Mass, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. and the late Elizabeth (Upham) Belt. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer with the Tri-County Crippled Children Association, Harrisburg, and the Colonial Park Public Library (a branch of the Dauphin County, PA public library system). She was Presbyterian.

She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Harriet E. (Philips) wife of Allen L. Forsman, Bowers, PA; Sons, Richard B., husband of Kathleen (Benton) Philips, Barrington, Rhode Island, Robert G. husband of Regina A. (Flood) Philips, Newtown Square, (Deleware County), PA; 7 Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Timothy M. Breidegam Center, on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, (Longswamp Twp.). Inurnment is private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

The family requests contributions be made to the Brandywine Community Library, 60 Tower Drive, Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
