Marion L Dwiggins

Marion L. Dwiggins, 83, of Dresher Road, Kempton (Lynn Township, Lehigh County), died Sunday, November 6, 2005, in his residence. He was the husband of Alice R. (Jorden) Dwiggins. They were married 63 years last July 24 th .

Born in Riverdale, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles W. and the late Helen A. (Utz) Dwiggins. He was an industrial specialist with the US Navy Department, Washington, DC for 36 years retiring in 1977. He also served as a Weapons Productions Officer for NATO. He was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII serving as a radio operator on a B-29 aircraft in the Pacific Theater. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Shoemakersville.

He is survived by Wife, Sons, C. Daniel Dwiggins, Palm Bay, FL, Dale R. Dwiggins, Salisbury MD; Daughter, Patricia (Dwiggins) Soper, Kempton, PA; Brother, Roscoe Dwiggins, Lothian, MD; 6 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Son, Larry R. Dwiggins, January 14, 1980.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 1:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment with Military Honors in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Wednesday from 11:30 to 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12 th Street, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
