Mrs. Marion L. Angstadt

April 24, 1925 — June 11, 2021

Marion L. (Wack) Angstadt, 96, of Maxatawny Township, died peacefully, late Friday evening in her residence, surrounded by family. She was the widow of Ernest L. Angstadt, who died July 13, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, Marion was a daughter of the late William H. and Amanda M. (Bailey) Wack. She was a very active member of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny, having taught Sunday School, Bible School, was a member of the Ladies Aide and WELCA.

In her early years, Marion worked as a secretary for the former Red Cheek Apple Juice Company, Fleetwood, for several years. She then assisted her husband, Ernest with the operation of their family farm on Noble Street, Kutztown.

Marion was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1943. She also was an active volunteer at The Lutheran Home at Topton, for many years.

Marion is survived by two sons: Dale R., widower of Linda (Chaks) Angstadt, Gansevoort, NY; and Ernest K., husband of Deborah (Nicholas) Angstadt, Kutztown. Son-in-Law: Jeff D. Jackson, widower of predeceased daughter, Diane L. Angstadt. Ozark, AL. Other survivors include two grandsons: Jarrod S., husband of Natalie (Nicotra) Angstadt, Denver, Lancaster County; and Jeremy E., husband of Margaret (Shetter) Angstadt, Huron, OH; two step grandsons: Travis B., husband of Amber (Roberts) Jackson, Enterprise, AL; and Jered B., husband of Missy (Wood) Jackson, Jacksonville, FL; there are also five step great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Ernest, daughter Diane, and parents, Marion was predeceased by three brothers: Robert Wack, Webster Wack, and William H. Wack, Jr.; a sister Thelma M. (Wack) Ashton.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Marion's life will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Zion's Union Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, with The Reverend Jeffrey J. Butz, officiating. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the church.
