Margarete Berger

Margarete (Jakubzik) Berger, 96, a resident of Berks Heim, died Friday, November 21, 2014 in Berks Heim, Bern Township. She was the widow of Christian Berger who died August 27, 1986.

Born in Wanne-Eickel, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Maria (Broner) Jakubzik. Mrs. Berger was Lutheran. She was also a homemaker.  Mrs. Berger enjoyed cooking, knitting, and crocheting. She crocheted many afghans for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by Daughter, Gabriele (Berger), wife of Charles M. Sanders, Mohrsville; Son, Horst Berger, widower of  Florence Elise (Mirkowicz) Berger, Ocean City, MD; Sister, Anni (Jakubzik) Heinen, Bad Driburg, Germany; 4 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; and one Great-Great Granddaughter .

A visitation will be held on Monday morning, November 24, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown; and Tuesday morning, November 25, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon in Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in Par-Troy Funeral Home. Interment in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
