Marcia Strause

Marcia (DeLong) Strause, 75, of Wethersfield, CT, formerly of Mertztown, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT. She was the beloved wife of 51 years of Charles A. Staruse .

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Anna (Sanders) DeLong. Mrs. Strause was a 1957 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, and a 1960 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing, Reading. She later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Connecticut State University in 1981. Marcia was employed as a Registered Nurse by Reading Hospital, St. Louis University Hospital and VA Medical Center in Newington, CT .

In addition to her loving husband, Charles, Marcia is survived by her Brother, Harry J., husband of Joan DeLong, Arnold, Maryland; 6 Half Brothers and Sisters, Gloria, James, Deborah, Phillip, Nicholas, and Lenora; and a Sister-in-law, Barbara J. Strause, West Reading .

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown, with Reverend Jeremiah A. Sassaman, officiating. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery, Laureldale. There are no calling hours .
