Mamie M Behler

Mamie M. Behler, 89, of Hamburg, formerly of Kutztown, died Friday, September 5, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township where she was admitted September 2, 2008. She was the widow of Lester G. Behler who died April 18, 1977.

Born in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Glance and Carrie (Wartzenluft) Weidner. She was a member of the Reformed congregation at Ziegel’s Union Church, Breinigsville. She first worked at the former Quaker Shoe Company, Allentown for 17 years; she then worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Grief Brothers, Allentown, for 20 years until her retirement in 1985.

She is survived by Daughter, Mary E. (Behler) wife of Staurt H. Hermany, Hamburg; Sisters, Mary A. (Weidner) Dries, Oklahoma City, OK, Edna E. (Weidner) wife of William Conrad, Mertztown. In addition, there are 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Son, Ronald G. Behler, husband of Sharon (Transue) Behler, Kutztown, and a Grandson.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 11:00 AM, from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Friends may call Wednesday, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
