Mrs. Mamie L. Guinther

Mamie L. (Kline) Guinther, 91, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Penn State Health - St. Joseph, Bern Township. She was the widow of Robert J. Guinther who died on March 30, 1982.

Born in the village of Fredericksville, Rockland Township, Mamie was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Sally (Hilbert) Kline. She was a long-time member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. Mamie worked as a cleaning lady for 18 years at Electro-Space Fabricators, Inc., Topton. She later managed the concession stand at Martin's Country Store, Moselem Springs, for several years until her retirement in 1995. Mamie was a member of the Fleetwood and Pricetown Senior Citizen's groups.

Mamie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda M. (Readinger) Guinther, of Fleetwood, widow of predeceased son, Gary R. Guinther who died on February 8, 2014; three granddaughters, Sheila M. (Guinther), wife of Dan Gehman of Fleetwood; Tina L. (Guinther), wife of Jason Howell of Fleetwood; Tanya S. (Guinther), wife of George Cassidy of Copperas Cove, Texas; five great- grandchildren, Courtney Mengel, Brandon Mengel, Aiden Cassidy, Kaylee Cassidy and Jayna Howell; a great-great grandson, Xander Card; sister, Joyce (Kline), wife of James Shabrach; and brothers, Homer Kline, Charles Kline and Lawayne Kline.

She is also survived by her extended family, Carol Kemmerer, widow of step-son, Marlin Guinther, and their children, Rebecca Wolfe, Timothy Guinther, Peter Guinther and Mary Claypoole.

Along with her husband, son, and parents, Mamie was predeceased by her siblings, Elsie Schaeffer, Helen Greiss, Carl Kline and Warren Kline.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Mamie's life will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, PA, with her pastor, The Reverend Ruth F. Doty officiating. Burial will follow in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
