Mae B. Fritch, 75, of South Park Avenue, Mertztown, PA, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, shortly after admission. She was the wife of Carl A. Fritch. They were married 56 years last July.
Born in Hereford Township, Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late David S. and the late Bertha D. (Kemp) Hunter. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton (1970 to the late 1990’s); she was member of the former Longswamp Lioness Club; and, a member of the Topton Women’s Club. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown, where she was a former secretary of the Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by Husband, Sons, Frederick R. Fritch, Mertztown, James D. Fritch, Kempton, Samuel C. Fritch, Philadelphia; Daughter, Lorene F. (Fritch) Hoffman, Tahoma, CA; Sisters, Lillian B. (Hunter) Miller, Barto, Fern B. (Hunter) Hoffman, Macungie; 9 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Hunter, Barto.
Memorial Services are Monday, September 20, 2004 at 10:30 AM from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown. Inurnment in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of the Church, PO Box 117, Mertztown, PA 19539. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
