Mace R. Arndt, 84, a lifelong resident of Lyon Station, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in his residence. He was the loving husband of Darlene L. (Fenstermacher) Arndt, whom he married on July 2, 1960.
Born in Reading, PA, Mace was a son of the late Harvey and Beulah (Schwoyer) Arndt and was a 1959 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Mace was employed as a Supervisor by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station for 27 years until his retirement in 2003.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville and a former member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Mace was a dedicated member of the Lyons community. He was a volunteer caretaker of Lyons Park and would assist at the annual fiddle festivals. He was also a true "Jack-of-all-trades." He could fix or build just about anything. He found joy in building things and making projects for his family. He also loved traveling and following sports.
Along with his wife of 65 years, Darlene, Mace is survived by his two sons, Troy M. Arndt, Lyons, and Joey M., husband of Lorrie E. (Sanner) Arndt, Fleetwood; four grandchildren, Emily E. (Arndt) Price, Bradley M., husband of Taylor (Pecharo) Arndt, Joshua M. Arndt and Jonah M. Arndt; and a great-grandson, Mace M. Price.
In addition to his parents, Mace was predeceased by his sisters, Joan (Arndt) Boyer and her husband, Earl, and Rae Arndt; and a niece, Bonnie.
A memorial service to celebrate and honor Mace's life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, with Vicar Jeremiah T. Heydt officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in Union Cemetery of Bowers.
The family requests contributions be made in Mace's memory to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Rd., Kutztown, PA 19530.
