Mabel I Trexler

Mabel I. Trexler, 89, formerly of Topton, residing at Kutztown Manor, Kutztown since 2004, died Friday, September 4, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, near Allentown. She was the widow of Wayne R. Trexler, who died March 25, 2006.

Born in Seiberlingsville, Lehigh County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Alvin S. and Adla C. (Bittner) Hoffman. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She was a cafeteria worker at the District Topton Elementary School for 23 years, retiring in 1983.

She is survived by Daughter, Joyce G. (Trexler) wife of (G. Edward) Sturtevant, Mertztown and Son, Wayne D. husband of Donna M. (Werner) Trexler, Topton, PA; there are also 4 Grandchildren, Eric D. Trexler, Andrew S. Trexler, Amy B. (Sturtevant) Roth and Meaghan J. Sturtevant and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Wednesday 10:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to the memorial fund of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
