Mabel I. Dietrich, 99, of Heilman House, Topton, formerly of Kempton, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010. She was the widow of Anson L. Dietrich who died March 25, 1964.

Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Malaria (Heffner) Seidel. She was the oldest member of New Bethel Church, Kempton and in earlier years was an accomplished hand quilter for the NBC Quilters of New Bethel. She also was a volunteer for the Kempton Community Center and Kempton Fire Company where she formerly served as the secretary of the ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by Son, Mark A. of Kutztown; Daughters, Fay E. widow of Albert Fritz, Bath, PA, Althea M. widow of Charles Fetherolf, Hamburg, Marlene E. widow of Fred Heffner, Fleetwood, Eleanor M. wife of Robert Follweiler, Lenhartsville, Alta L. wife of Dale Brobst, Lyon Station and Linda J. wife of Harold Dupler, Kempton. There are also 21 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great-Great Grandchildren. Mabel was also predeceased by a Daughter, Joyce L. Leiby on April 7, 1987 and Brothers, Robert, Harvey and Paul Seidel; and a Sister, Emma (Seidel) Mest.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in New Bethel Cemetery, Kempton. Friends may call Tuesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to the memorial fund of New Bethel Church, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, PA 19529. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
