Mabel E Scheiwe

Mabel E. “Dolly” Scheiwe, 80, of Bowers, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 in her residence. She was the wife of Richard D. Scheiwe. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 7, 2011.

Born in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Elias and Mabel (Guth) Zettlemoyer. Mrs. Scheiwe was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and Communion bread baker. She worked as a floor lady for the former Katos Sportswear, Kutztown for many years. She then was a machine operator at Adidas, Kutztown for five years, retiring in 1990.

She is survived by Husband, Daughters, Diane C. (Scheiwe) Ohlinger, Fleetwood, Susan K. (Scheiwe) wife of Paul H. Schick, Kutztown, and Linda L. (Scheiwe) wife of Thomas M. Bloom, Sinking Spring; Sister, Betty (Zettlemoyer) widow of George Hottenstein, Fleetwood and Brother, Edward L., husband of Sandra G. (Hartman) Zettlemoyer, Wescosville. There are also 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by Brothers, Francis, Oscar, Edwin and Robert Zettlemoyer; Sister, Dorothy (Zettlemoyer) Flinthoff, and a Twin Sister at birth.

Funeral Services are Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM from Hope Lutheran Church, 550 Fleetwood Road, Bowers. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church.
