Luke P Pfeifly

Luke P. Pfeifly, age 82, formerly of Maxatawny, Berks County PA, died Tuesday, November 14, 2000 in the Phoebe Home, Allentown PA. He was the Widower of the late Elsie M. (Haydt) Pfeifly who died November 15, 1988.

Born in Topton Borough, Berks County PA, he was the Son of the late Preston W. and Sarah E. (Reber) Pfeifly. He was a truck mechanic for 37 years until retiring in 1983 at International Harvester and Viking International, both of Reading PA. He was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville, where he served on the church council for 9 years during the 1980's. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.

He is survived by his Daughters, Sandra K. (Pfeifly), wife of Donald C. Nicholas of Beaver Falls, Beaver County PA and Linda B. Pfeifly of Allentown PA; Sisters, Margaret M. (Pfeifly), wife of Albert Fiorini of Reading PA, Grace E. (Pfeifly) Bailey of Hamburg PA and Ina R. (Pfeifly) DeLong; Brothers, Franklin T. Pfeifly of Lenhartsville PA and William Pfeifly; 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great Granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2000 at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Greenwich Twp, Krumsville PA. Interment in New Bethel Zion Union Cemetery, Krumsville. Friends may call Saturday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
