Mrs. Lucille V. Walbert

Lucille V. "Lucy" (Kraft) Walbert, 98, formerly of Alburtis, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Thomas B. Walbert, Jr., who died on October 2, 1995 and whom she married on April 13, 1941.

Born in Allentown, Lucille was a daughter of the late Elmer S. and Sadie (Sacks) Kraft. In her younger years, Lucille worked in several area sewing factories but was primarily a homemaker. She loved playing BINGO, going to the casinos and enjoyed her cats.

Lucille is survived by her three children, Julia A. (Walbert), wife of Cesar Tovar, Temple, Thomas B. Walbert, III, a resident of ManorCare, Laureldale, and Sherry L. (Walbert), wife of Russell Greenawalt, Breinigsville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Along with her husband and parents, Lucille was predeceased by her siblings, Gloria L. Kraft, Arlington S. Kraft and Joyce Heist.

A funeral service to celebrate an honor Lucille's life will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with her former neighbor, The Reverend Kim L. Adamson, officiating. Burial will follow in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
