Louise Golembiewski

Louise (Bertrand) Golembiewski, 96, of Lodi, NJ, and Topton, PA, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Alfred Golembiewski who died in 1989.

Born in France, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Fontaine) Bertrand.  Mrs. Golembiewski was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Garfield, NJ, and the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. Louise worked as a seamstress for many years in New York City. She was a friend to many and beloved by them to her last days.

There are no immediate survivors in the United States. Reverend and Mrs. Paul Brndjar, Macungie, were close friends and caregivers to Louise.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 10:30 AM in Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07012.
