Lottie E Hoppes

Lottie E. Hoppes, 85, of Jefferson Street, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.), died Thursday, April 20, 2006, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Salisbury Twp., near Allentown, shortly after admission. She was the wife of William E. Hoppes, they were married in June of 1968. Her first husband Irwin A. Behm died Nov. 4, 1965.

Born in Maxatawny Twp., Berks County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert V. and the late Florence M. (Peiffer) Fritz. She was employed as a screener at Caloric Corporation at its former Topton facility, for over 41 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton; she was a member of both Topton Fire Company, Topton and the Ladies Auxiliary of Topton Fire Company, Topton; in addition she was a member of the Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Lyon Station. She was a member of Saint Peter’s United Church of Christ Church, Topton.

She is survived by Husband, Step Daughters, Lois M. (Behm) Boone, Bowers, PA, Faye A. (Behm) Stoudt, Topton, Linda J. (Hoppes) Reinert, Kutztown; Step Sons, Irwin D. Behm, Mertztown, Nevin M. Behm, Mertztown, Leonard Hoppes, Loon Lake, Washington; 14 Step Grandchildren, 13 Step Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Funeral Services are Tueday, April 25, 2006, 10:30 AM from Topton Volunteer Fire Company, 600 State Street, Mertztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville (Rockland Twp.). Friends may call Monday, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Tuesday, 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM in the Fire Company.
