Mrs. Lorraine E. Moyer Moll

Lorraine E. (Miller) Moyer Moll, 92, formerly of Bethel and Shoemakersville, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021, in Kutztown Manor, Inc. She was the widow of Wayne M. Moll, who died in 1984 and Albert S. Moyer in 1973. She was also the companion of Gary A. Berger who died in 2017.

Born in New Tripoli, Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Lorraine was a daughter of the late Herbert S. and Eva (Lamp) Miller. She was a member of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis and was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator at the former Royal Manufacturing. Lorraine enjoyed gardening and sewing. Lorraine was also a foster mother to over 70 children.

She is survived by her children, Sandra A. (Moyer), wife of Dennis C. Hilbert, Mertztown, Shirley L. (Moyer), widow of Floyd Gawthorpe, Kutztown, Betty L. (Moyer), wife of Ronald Moyer, Boyertown, Nancy E. (Moyer), wife of Henry Erb, Kutztown, Catherine E. (Moyer), widow of Thomas Homan, New Smithville, Robert L. Moyer, Reading, and Debbie L. (Moyer), wife of Brian Hess, Bernville; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

Lorraine is also survived by her sisters, Lurea (Miller) Kuhns Reichert and Shirley (Miller) Kutz Freeby. In addition to her two husbands and companion, Lorraine was predeceased by a son, Earl L. Moyer, daughters, Dorothy J. Moyer and Barbara M. Moyer, grandson, Todd Geisinger, and siblings, Herbert Miller, Harvey Miller, Kenneth Miller, Minnie Strunk and Luella Scheirer.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.

A graveside service to celebrate Lorraine’s life and burial will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in Longswamp Union Cemetery, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, PA, with Reverend Dr. Jennifer M. Bannerman officiating.
