Lois M Boone

Lois M. (Behm) Boone, 83, of Bowers, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of John E. Boone. They were married November 18, 1950.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Irvin A Behm and the late Edna M. (Grim) Bortz. Mrs. Boone was a member of Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, Bowers, where she served as a former Sunday school teacher and member of the Ladies Aide. She was employed as an assembler by East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station, for over 20 years, retiring in 1991.

She is survived by Husband; Daughter, Sandra K. (Boone), widow of Ronald R. Luckenbill, Bowers; Son, Michael J., husband of Kara L. (Wagaman) Boone, Towson, Maryland; Sisters, Faye A. (Behm), widow of Marvin Stoudt, Topton, Carol S. (Bortz), wife of Barry Turner, Allentown, Doris E. (Bortz), wife of Michael Krick, Topton, Diane M. (Bortz), wife of Dennis Grim, Mertztown; Brothers, Irwin D., husband of Alice (Long) Behm and Nevin M., husband of Larue (Binder) Behm, both of Mertztown. There are also 2 Granddaughters, Samantha C. Boone and Madison R. Boone.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
