Lois D. Redd, 83, formerly of Verona, NJ, Columbus, OH, West Dover, VT, Bradenton, FL, and Ann Arbor, MI passed away with family by her side July 2, 2007 in The Lutheran Home at Topton where she resided since December 2006. She was the widow of John G. Redd. Born September 15, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Clark and Thera (Davis) Dungan. She received a Bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio State University. She was a physical education teacher in Little Falls, NJ. She then became Director of Housing at Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ, for 25 years until her retirement in 1985. She followed the Protestant faith.
She is survived by Daughter, Jane E. (Redd) wife of Dan V. Venkauskas, Kempton; Son, John G. husband of Lynn (Bazilauskas) Redd, Wilmington, VT; Sister, Joyce (Dungan) wife of Bruce Myers, Tippcity, OH. In addition, there are 5 Grandchildren, Derek B. and Damon B. Redd, Johnathan R., Rebecca L. and Kate E. Venkauskas.
Memorial Services are Thursday, July 5, 2007, at 2:00 PM from Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown. Interment is private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, 501 Washington Street, Suite 801, Reading, PA 19603. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
