Lloyd H Berger

Lloyd H. 'Tubby' Berger, age 81, of East Main Street, Kutztown PA, died Friday, October 4, 2002 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the Husband of Eleanor M. (Kunkel) Berger. The couple celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary this past April.

Born in Pocono Lake PA, he was the Son of the late Theodore E. and Sylvania O. (Huseman) Berger. He graduated from Kutztown High School in 1940. He was a Machinist and Tool and Die Maker for 34 years for various companies in Berks County last working in the former Kauffman Machine Shop, Kutztown and retiring in 1981. He was a Member and former Council Member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was a charter member of Kutztown Jaycees. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.

He is survived by his Wife; Son, Glenn L. Berger of Fleetwood PA; Daughter, Lenora E. (Berger) Dannelke of Allentown PA; Sisters, Laura J. (Berger) Tuck of Gurnsey WY and Genie M. (Berger) Kershner of Reading PA; Brother, Luther A. Berger of Bethlehem PA; and 1 Granddaughter.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 9, 2002, from Saint John's Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown PA. Private Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. There are no calling hours.
