Linda M Miller

Linda M. “Mammy” (Geist) Miller, 66, of Topton passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Leonard R. "Lennie" Miller, who died February 28, 2013.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Elwood A. and Estella M. (Stewart) Geist. Mrs. Miller was Lutheran in faith. She was a 1965 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School. Mrs. Miller was the owner and operator of Linda's Daycare, Topton for over 30 years, having the opportunity to help raise many children in the Topton area. She had also been employed as a child care worker by The Lutheran Home at Topton for several years. Mrs. Miller was a substitute organist at the former Longswamp Union Church, now Longswamp U.C.C. Church, Mertztown, in the 1960's. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Fleetwood; The Tea Ladies; and enjoyed watching movies, playing the piano, and was an original "Little Jigger" member of the Earl Keller Melody Ranger Dance Group, New Tripoli. Linda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her Sons, Rodney R., husband of Jackie K. (Smith) Miller, Lusby, MD, Timothy A. Miller, Fleetwood, Guy R., husband of Heather M. (Stoudt) Miller, Jason L., husband of Nicole B. (Oswald) Miller, both of Topton; Sisters, Joyce C. (Geist) Moyer, Irene F. (Geist), wife of Warren W. Wessner, both of Topton; Brothers, Walter A. Geist, Topton, Clenroy E., husband of Diane (Burke) Geist, Alburtis, Ernest E., husband of Lucille K. (Meck) Geist, Lakeland, FL; 11 Grandchildren, Mason, McKenzie, Hunter, Cole, Sophie, Skylar, Logan, Jade, Spencer, Reagan, and Benjamin.

At Linda's request, there will be no formal services. An informal gathering to celebrate her life and an opportunity to share memories of Linda with her family, will take place Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Janelle Restaurant and Catering Hall, 360 Fleetwood-Lyons Road, Bowers, PA 19511. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Organ Fund, P.O. Box 37, Topton, PA 19562-0037. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
