Linda L. DeLong

Linda L. (Gehringer) DeLong, 81, of Lyon Station, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice, Allentown, PA. She was the devoted wife of Richard J. DeLong whom she married on April 9, 1966.

Born in Reading, PA, Linda was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elda (Shade) Gehringer and was a 1963 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Linda was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station, PA, for over 30 years until her retirement in 2010. Prior to that, Linda worked at the Lyons bank for several years.

Linda was a member of Lyons Fire Company #1 and their Ladies Auxiliary and Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton. She enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and listening to Elvis music. She also liked playing BINGO, bowling, going to Foxwoods Casino and collecting Longaberger baskets. Above all, Linda loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 60 years Richard, Linda is survived by her two children, Todd A., husband of Donna R. (Brobst) DeLong, Mertztown, PA, and Tiffani A. DeLong, Lyons, PA; brother, Edwin "Eddie", husband of Ingrid (Bower) Gehringer, Kutztown, PA five grandchildren, Tyler R. husband of Taylor P. (Gallagher) DeLong, Skye A. Kline, Rachel L. DeLong, Anthony L. Kline and Ashley N. Hower; four great-grandchildren, Jaylah, Ayana, Mason and Rylee and a fifth great-grandchild due in January. Linda's nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be profoundly missed, but her legacy lives on through her family.

A celebration of life luncheon for Linda will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Lyons Fire Company #1 upstairs Banquet Hall, 110 Park Ave., Lyons, PA.
