Linda C Christman

Linda C. (Ferketich) Christman, 65, of Topton, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 13, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Carl C. Christman, whom she married January 27, 1967.

Born in Sellersville, Bucks County, she was a daughter of Jeanette (Cuppy) Overstreet, a resident of Kutztown Manor, Inc., Kutztown, and the late Stephen Ferketich. Mrs. Christman was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown. She was employed as a nursing aide by The Lutheran Home at Topton for ten years in the late 1990's. She also was a homemaker for many years. Linda enjoyed crocheting and reading. She also loved camping and traveling, especially her yearly trips to Florida every winter. Linda was a "people person," making sure to make friends with, and talk to everyone she met.

She is survived by Husband of 47 years; Daughters, Kathy L. (Smith), wife of Ruben D. Acevedo, Bridgeton, NJ, and Joyce A. (Christman), wife of Carl West, Topton; Son, Michael W. Christman, Topton; Brother, Stephen A. Ferketich, Allentown. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, Adrienna, Andrew, Ashley, Joshua, Ava, Ernesto, Autumn, James, Timothy, Ruben, Jr., and Heaven; and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

At Linda's request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 117, Mertztown, PA  19539-0117. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
