Mrs. Linda A. Trexler

Linda A. (Gechter) Trexler, 93, passed away on December 28th, 2021, at home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Lester Trexler who passed away November 29th, 1977. Born in Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Agnes (Hafer) Gechter. She was a member of Saint Peter's Union Church, Macungie, where she enjoyed attending and volunteering for various church activities.

Linda was employed as a finish line operator at East Penn Manufacturing Company, Lyon Station, for many years before retiring. She also worked at Lyons Fire Company, Kutztown Elementary School and Esterly's Sandwich Shop, Bowers. She loved ceramics, sewing, gardening, and listening to Uncle Jeffrey. She also loved to spoil her beloved cat Cleo.

Linda is survived by a daughter, Cindy L. (Trexler) Rothermel, Alburtis. In addition there are 4 granddaughters: Sally (Gechter) Herb, Risha (Guth) Bower, Cheryl (Gechter) Reppert and Sarah Rothermel; there is one grandson, Philip J Rothermel. In addition to her parents and husband, Lester, Linda was predeceased by her sons Richard L. Gechter Sr., and Daniel L. Trexler; Grandson Richard L. Gechter Jr; and a granddaughter Shandell J. (Gechter) Zimmerman. Linda was predeceased by eight siblings.

A funeral service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Monday, January 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., from Saint Peter's Union Church, 7863 Saint Peter's Church Road, Macungie, Pa 18062, with The Rev. Martin A. Milne, officiating. Interment in Saint Peter's Union Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 3, 2021, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the church. The family respectfully requests masks be worn when inside the church.
