Lillian R Queman

Lillian R. (Mertz) Queman, 86, of Kutztown, formerly of Greenwich Township, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 10:10 AM in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of John C. Queman, Jr. who died August 30, 2000.

Born in Richmond Township, she was a daughter of the Paul K. and Hattie M. (Kerchner) Mertz.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Mrs. Queman was employed at the former Saucony Shoe, former Kutztown Sportswear and former Deisher Knitting Mills. Lillian was Secretary/Treasurer of the Relief Association of the Kutztown Rod & Gun Club from 1992 to 2008.

She is survived by Daughter, Christine M. (Queman) wife of Robert E. Olson, Bangor; Son, John P. husband of Melinda K. (Borrell) Queman, Kutztown. Other survivors include a Brother, Charles E. husband of Lennia Mertz. There are 4 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. Lillian was predeceased by a Brother Russell P. Mertz.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 4, 2015, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Mary Ann Hamm, officiating. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Greenwich Township. Family and friends may call Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made in memory of Lillian to Saint John's Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
