Lillian R Kemp

Lillian R. (Shoemaker) Kemp, 87, of Topton, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a resident for three years. She was the widow of Charles H. Kemp who died June 6, 2007.

Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Leon P. and Esther M. (Gambler) Shoemaker. Mrs. Kemp was a member of the Reformed congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. Lillian worked over 18 years for Kemps Catering, Bowers, a business her son owned. She also worked as a custodian at Topton Post Office over 20 years.

She is survived by Son, Barry C. Kemp companion of Margaret D. "Peggy" (Fritsch) Beach, Millsboro, DE; Grandsons, Darin C. husband of Kimberly A. (Omar) Kemp, Topton and Dustin T. Kemp, Baltimore, MD; and a Great Grandson, Tyler C. Kemp, Topton.

Graveside Services are Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. There is no viewing.

The family requests contributions be made to Huff’s Union Church Memorial Fund, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
