Lillian M. Dietrich, 81, of Maxatawny Township, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 in the in-patient hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, where she was admitted November 18, 2007. She was the wife Ira G. Dietrich; they were married June 24, 1944.

Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus D. M. and Arlene L. (Wessner) Kutz. Lillian was raised by her Kutz grandparents and her aunt, the late Gertie Reppert, as her mother died just 26 days after her birth. She was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Grimville, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir, alter guild, council and served as Church Treasurer for 5½ years. She was a 1943 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the Baronet Leather Company, Saucony Shoe Company, and Geo. Y. Brubaker, Inc., all formerly of Kutztown. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #336, Kutztown, last holding the office of Marshall. She was a dedicated volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels for over 11 years.

She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Brenda L. (Dietrich) Gardner; Sister, Leona (Reppert) wife of Robert Keim, Kutztown. She is also survived by Half Sisters, Ruth (Kutz) wife of Harold Geiger, New Tripoli, and June (Kutz) wife of Merlin Peters, Abilene, Texas. There are two Grandchildren, Wendy Blatt, Mohnton and Scott M. Blatt, Fleetwood.

Funeral Services are Monday, December 03, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery. Order of Eastern Star Service at 1:45 p.m. Friends may call Monday, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the church.

The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown, 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
