Lillian B Spiess

Lillian B. Spiess, 83, of Longswamp Township, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a resident since March 2010. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Spiess who died February 23, 2006.

Born in Harleysville, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Sally (Landis) Loeffler. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Topton. Lillian was a short order cook at the former Nut Shop, Lansdale, from 1968 to 1970. Prior to that, she was employed at the M&S Vending Co., Lansdale, from 1963 to 1968. She also helped on the farm operated by her husband. She was a former vice president of Endless Mountains Multiple Sclerosis Association, Laceyville, PA in the 1980’s. Lillian was also a Den mother of Cub Scout Troop #398, Souderton, for five years.

She is survived by Son, Charles Dennis husband of Robin K. (Moore) Spiess, Quakertown; Grandchildren, Charles Michael husband of Heather A. (Morgan) Spiess, East Greenville, Karen R. (Spiess) wife of Robert C. Faix, Limerick, and Andrew G. Spiess, Quakertown. She is also survived by a Great Granddaughter, Kendall R. Faix. She was predeceased by Daughter, Robin Lynn Spiess in 1956.

Funeral Services are Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:30 AM from Grace Lutheran Church, located on the campus at the Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton. Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kulpsville, PA. Family and friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of the Lehigh Valley, 1251 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Room 102-C, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
